They've done a few complicated moves for me (across state lines, into storage for a few days, multiple pick up locations, etc.) and it has always been seamless. To be honest, at first,... read more I was a little skpetical to choose NYC as I hadn't used them before and never heard about them but they were quoting a really good price for the move and I decided to go with them.
They were 30 minutes late to arrive but they called me right on time to tell me that they were stuck in the traffic and will arrive soon. It wasn't a problem for me at all. Once they arrived, they packed everything a little more carefully than the other movers I had used in the past. They notified me of any defects that they found on the furniture before moving so that I am aware of any preexisting conditions.
They delivered everything without any damage (as opposed to my last moves with the other movers). They did well in terms of time as well. Overall, I was pretty happy with them and will definitely recommend them.
(Usually, I tip 20% for the move but with their low price and the quality of service, I ended up tipping 30%)

It was a short and simple move but these guys had a great attitude and could not have been more polite to me. Honestly, it was the best I have been treated and spoken to since I moved to New York.   We moved twice within 2 years and used NYC Green Line Movers both times - once locally and the other time from NY to CT. The second time was in... read more the middle of a pandemic. While everyone else was price gauging or completely booked, these guys were reasonably priced and available. Both moves went flawlessly for us. They provided the building mandated paperwork in a timely manner and arrived exactly when they said they would. We already had everything packed, so we did not use them for packing services. The movers moved our items super efficiently and carefully. We didn't have a simple damaged item (or wall) in either move. We asked them to bring TV boxes, which they did. They also wrapped all of our furniture in plastic and blankets. Mark fragile boxes with stickers on all sides!

Make sure you tip in CASH! The price for the move itself was significantly lower than other quotes we received and the guys worked so hard. Tip them well - I would say 30% at the very least. We tipped more, but they deserved it. I would highly recommend NYC Green Line Movers.
