It was a short and simple move but these guys had a great attitude and could not have been more polite to me. Honestly, it was the best I have been treated and spoken to since I moved to New York.   They were booked through MOVED.com. They were the only moving company that had access to my items between the constrainer and my moving storage unit. They "lost" a box that... read more had a couple cameras a external hard drive some cables. Because it was moved to another storage unit I didn't find this out until 9 months when I moved the storage unit out. I did the moving from the storage unit into another container. I reached out to see if they for some reason had my box and had no way of contacting me. They said of course not we check all of our trucks and return lost items. That's a lie. Their truck was filled with other items not related to my items which made me nervous from the start. I just kept doubling down on we dont have your items. If their moving guys stole the items how would they have them! Shady company shady movers! Find another moving company!

  I worked with this company a couple of years ago. They worked hard and I always feel bad when movers have to go upstairs, but they were at times really... read more rough with my belongings and by the time we moved everything, a few of my pieces of furniture were damaged. I pointed out the damages to the guy leading the team and he tried to deny it was their fault and complained that they were "antiques" - only one of the pieces was an antique and it is in impeccable condition. I am OCD about my belongings and take very good care of them. One of the pieces was the bottom of a cabinet that couldn't possibly break except when being moved. Ultimately, they found a way to make repairs on the spot that solved the problem. But I've never had anything damaged before when moving, I didn't appreciate having to argue about it. And the team still breathed down my neck wondering about their tip. I'm ready for my next move and just remembering this experience has me on edge about who to hire this time.

The time I moved before that the movers that I used treated everything as though it was their own. They were super careful. If I could remember who that was, I'd have used them again.

While everyone else was price gauging or completely booked, these guys were reasonably priced and available. Both moves went flawlessly for us. They provided the building mandated paperwork in a timely manner and arrived exactly when they said they would. We already had everything packed, so we did not use them for packing services. The movers moved our items super efficiently and carefully. We didn't have a simple damaged item (or wall) in either move. We asked them to bring TV boxes, which they did. They also wrapped all of our furniture in plastic and blankets. Mark fragile boxes with stickers on all sides!

Make sure you tip in CASH! The price for the move itself was significantly lower than other quotes we received and the guys worked so hard. Tip them well - I would say 30% at the very least. We tipped more, but they deserved it. I would highly recommend NYC Green Line Movers.
